GF Piping Systems will present the latest innovations in process automation and (waste) water treatment, as well as the 565 butterfly valve, at the globally accessible hybrid event “Flow to the future” on April 29. In a series of panel discussions and informative expert talks, as well as an inspiring keynote address by former world boxing champion Regina Halmich from Germany, attendees can digitally experience the future of water treatment and ask questions of the assembled industry experts, regardless of location. During the event, guests can also familiarize themselves with the Smart Actuator, FlowtraMag 2581 as well as the Ball Valve 546 Pro using augmented reality and experience these innovations virtually.
Light and strong — beats metal, in every round
The main attraction — the new 565 butterfly valve — has been specifically designed to replace metal butterfly valves in numerous applications. In a boxing ring, the all-plastic butterfly valve challenges a metal butterfly valve round after round. “The previous metal champion will face crushing blows from this future-proof newcomer,” explains Regina Halmich. The famous European boxer will deliver a keynote at the product launch.
“The new butterfly valve is a complete solution for the water segment. It solves typical problems customers had with metal valves,” says Thomas Kuessner, Head of Product Management — Valves at GF Piping Systems. “Thanks to higher corrosion resistance, longer service life, quick retrofitting and effective use of energy as well as resources during production, our new valve offers a more cost-effective and sustainable solution for a wide range of applications.”
Metal butterfly valves, for example, often suffer from wear. Whether due to corrosion, contamination or prolonged use, they are not as durable and need to be replaced. The resulting downtime leads to delays in operation, additional installation and acquisition costs, and the need to bring in an expert to install, inspect and monitor the new metal valve.
The new butterfly valve from GF Piping Systems, on the other hand, is made of high-performance thermoplastics. They protect the 565 butterfly valve from damage even under harsh conditions such as pressure surges and extreme temperatures. They also enable a longer service life in many industry applications, making a greater contribution to a more sustainable world.
Together as ONE — process automation and water treatment
Together with partners and customers, GF Piping Systems will present future process automation and water treatment solutions in expert talks and panel discussions. Together, these are expected to contribute to better water quality and reduce the impact of these processes on the environment.
“GF Piping Systems is not just a single valve, actuator, controller or sensor provider, but offers the entire portfolio of process control loops. To simplify the lives of designers and installers, GF is a total solution partner — providing a process and a platform for process automation in diverse water treatment applications.”
