Sustainable solutions for process automation and (waste) water treatment

GF Pip­ing Sys­tems will present the lat­est inno­va­tions in process automa­tion and (waste) water treat­ment, as well as the 565 but­ter­fly valve, at the glob­al­ly acces­si­ble hybrid event “Flow to the future” on April 29. In a series of pan­el dis­cus­sions and infor­ma­tive expert talks, as well as an inspir­ing keynote address by for­mer world box­ing cham­pi­on Regi­na Halmich from Ger­many, atten­dees can dig­i­tal­ly expe­ri­ence the future of water treat­ment and ask ques­tions of the assem­bled indus­try experts, regard­less of loca­tion. Dur­ing the event, guests can also famil­iar­ize them­selves with the Smart Actu­a­tor, Flow­tra­M­ag 2581 as well as the Ball Valve 546 Pro using aug­ment­ed real­i­ty and expe­ri­ence these inno­va­tions virtually.

Light and strong — beats metal, in every round

The main attrac­tion — the new 565 but­ter­fly valve — has been specif­i­cal­ly designed to replace met­al but­ter­fly valves in numer­ous appli­ca­tions. In a box­ing ring, the all-plas­tic but­ter­fly valve chal­lenges a met­al but­ter­fly valve round after round. “The pre­vi­ous met­al cham­pi­on will face crush­ing blows from this future-proof new­com­er,” explains Regi­na Halmich. The famous Euro­pean box­er will deliv­er a keynote at the prod­uct launch.
“The new but­ter­fly valve is a com­plete solu­tion for the water seg­ment. It solves typ­i­cal prob­lems cus­tomers had with met­al valves,” says Thomas Kuess­ner, Head of Prod­uct Man­age­ment — Valves at GF Pip­ing Sys­tems. “Thanks to high­er cor­ro­sion resis­tance, longer ser­vice life, quick retro­fitting and effec­tive use of ener­gy as well as resources dur­ing pro­duc­tion, our new valve offers a more cost-effec­tive and sus­tain­able solu­tion for a wide range of applications.”
Met­al but­ter­fly valves, for exam­ple, often suf­fer from wear. Whether due to cor­ro­sion, con­t­a­m­i­na­tion or pro­longed use, they are not as durable and need to be replaced. The result­ing down­time leads to delays in oper­a­tion, addi­tion­al instal­la­tion and acqui­si­tion costs, and the need to bring in an expert to install, inspect and mon­i­tor the new met­al valve.
The new but­ter­fly valve from GF Pip­ing Sys­tems, on the oth­er hand, is made of high-per­for­mance ther­mo­plas­tics. They pro­tect the 565 but­ter­fly valve from dam­age even under harsh con­di­tions such as pres­sure surges and extreme tem­per­a­tures. They also enable a longer ser­vice life in many indus­try appli­ca­tions, mak­ing a greater con­tri­bu­tion to a more sus­tain­able world.
