Rudolf Weiss has been appointed Global Head of Pharma and member of the Global Management Team. The robot manufacturer is aiming to build on its existing expertise in a number of high tech markets in which it is already setting the benchmark. The initial focus is on pharmaceuticals, an industry in which Weiss is an acknowledged expert.
The 49-year-old graduate engineer brings more than 20 years of experience acquired in senior management roles in the sector, most significantly at Groninger and at Bausch + Ströbel.
Weiss has wide-ranging expertise in almost all drug filling and packaging processes as well as in-depth knowledge of industry-specific qualifications and certifications. He also brings with him an extensive level of international experience in the markets of America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. The father of three is regarded as a natural high-flyer, not least on account of his sporting prowess as a competitive athlete in powerlifting and as an active tennis association player.
