For a sustainable construction infrastructure as a guarantor of future-oriented living environments, the bundling and expansion of competences are the best basis. Therefore, the Krebs+Kiefer Group contributes its shareholdings on a long-term and sustainable basis to the Dorsch Group, which operates under the umbrella of the RAG Foundation, Essen.
Together with the sister companies Dorsch International Consultants GmbH, German Rail Engineering GmbH, PB Consult GmbH and spiekermann ingenieure gmbh, which are already part of the Dorsch Gruppe, the operating companies will continue to act independently as a multi-brand. The group of companies thus covers almost all service areas of civil engineering and draws on the competences and capacities of all approximately 1,200 employees in Germany alone.
“With this majority shareholding, we are sustainably strengthening the market position of both companies in the important German business, both on a regional, technical and operational level.”
- Andreas Schweinar, CFO
The activities of this group in the German domestic market and other European countries will in future be coordinated by the group’s Management Board Europe, which is staffed with experienced executives. The Group’s range of services includes planning and consulting in the business areas of building construction, traffic route construction with rail, road and air traffic, water and environment, and energy supply infrastructure. Regional contacts are available at 22 locations throughout Germany. In cooperation with the globally operating Dorsch Gruppe, more than 3,400 employees in around 50 countries are now networked.
“In the current challenges, such as the mobility and energy turnaround, digitalization and machine manufacturing, as well as climate change and globalization, the construction industry plays a crucial role as an essential infrastructure developer. Our group of companies is broadly positioned in these areas and thus offers young people in particular, who would also like to take on social responsibility in this respect, the best development and design opportunities.” emphasizes Prof. Dr. Jan Akkermann, CEO of Management Board Europe.
Olaf Hoffmann, CEO of Dorsch Holding, explains: “The topic of innovation and networking with other associated companies of the RAG Foundation from the fields of automation, digitalization and information technology will be among the key synergy effects in the coming years.”
The management and employees of the group of companies are looking forward to a continued successful cooperation with customers and business partners and to a fruitful and sustainable cooperation in the new partnership.
