The new, universal IPP 75 in-line particle probe is suitable for determining particle size distributions when processing powders, granules and all granular materials in the size range from 50 µm to 6 mm. It can also be used to measure particles in liquids and, for example, the droplet size distribution in sprays.
The IPP 75 continuously determines the particle size distribution, velocity and particle concentration in the running process. The measured values are displayed as distribution, fractions or characteristics and are logged in a 24h log file or can be transferred to the process control system.
The very simple installation — without sampler, bypass or similar plant components — allows easy installation in existing plants or, for example, in pipelines, under conveyor belts, rotary valves in mixers and on screening plants.
The new IPP 75 fills the gap in Parsum’s product range between the basic IPP 70‑S model and the high-end pharmaceutical version IPP 80‑P. Thanks to a new illumination concept, the IPP 75 can be manufactured in any length and thus offers problem solutions for in-line particle measurement in large vessels as well as in hard-to-reach places in the process. Self-diagnostic functions facilitate its use in automatically controlled processes and as a component of new control and automation concepts.
