R. Sthal presents new explosion-protected linear luminaires in powder-coated sheet steel or stainless steel enclosure. The units certified for global use in Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 are equipped with particularly long-lasting, low-maintenance LED technology. Depending on the power consumption, they achieve a luminous flux of up to 4285 lm. At a colour temperature of 5000 K as standard, they exceed the specifications of the workplace regulations and of EN 12464 with a colour rendering index Ra of greater than 80. At a height of just 80 mm, the luminaires are designed to be very flat. At the same time, the integrated diffusor ensures low-glare lighting even at low installation heights. Thanks to high efficiency, lower operating costs and a service life of at least ten years, the linear luminaires are suitable for universal use in industry. They are designed for ambient temperatures of between ‑40 °C and +60 °C and offer a resistant enclosure construction with degree of protection IP65, impact strength IK10 and an tempered safety-glass pane at the front. The robust design of the luminaires enables use in very harsh environments, including maritime operating conditions. The enclosure design of the stainless steel versions suitable for use in clean rooms also meets the hygiene requirements in the pharmaceutical and food sectors. All replacement components are installed on the reflector plate to allow easy maintenance and are directly accessible. The model variants available with a power consumption of 28 W and 52 W are delivered as standard with 5‑wire through wiring for looping through a three-phase connection cable. The luminaires for Zone 1 can be operated with 110 V up to 240 V, with an net frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz, and in DC networks.
