Intuitive operation and large functional range

The Jumo con­troller fam­i­ly has been expand­ed to include a par­tic­u­lar­ly pow­er­ful new prod­uct in the form of the Jumo  dira­Tron. The series com­pris­es five con­fig­urable, uni­ver­sal­ly usable com­pact con­trollers in var­i­ous DIN for­mats to con­trol tem­per­a­ture, pres­sure, and oth­er process vari­ables. Depend­ing on the hard­ware design, the devices can be used as two-state con­trollers, three-state con­trollers, three-step con­trollers, or con­tin­u­ous controllers.
The devices are char­ac­ter­ized by a sim­ple, clear­ly struc­tured oper­a­tion sup­port­ed with texts. Process val­ues ​​and para­me­ters are shown by two 18-seg­ment LCD dis­plays. Indi­vid­ual mod­els are addi­tion­al­ly equipped with a pix­el matrix LCD dis­play for dis­play­ing text and process infor­ma­tion. In addi­tion, all devices have indi­vid­ual dis­play ele­ments for the switch posi­tions of the dig­i­tal out­puts. The basic type includes a ramp func­tion, auto­tun­ing, a pro­gram con­troller, lim­it val­ue mon­i­tor­ing func­tions, bina­ry func­tions, exten­sive timer func­tions, and a ser­vice counter.
Four dig­i­tal con­trol sig­nals enhance the flex­i­bil­i­ty in the basic type. Fur­ther­more, four con­fig­urable math and log­ic for­mu­las as well as project plan­ning via the pro­gram­ming lan­guage ST code (struc­tured text) are avail­able to users for more com­plex appli­ca­tions and for cre­at­ing their own appli­ca­tions. Both func­tions – math and log­ic – as well as struc­tured text, pro­vide indi­vid­ual flex­i­bil­i­ty that stretch­es far beyond the stan­dard configuration.
The devices can be con­ve­nient­ly con­fig­ured using a PC or lap­top with the help of the set­up pro­gram (incl. pro­gram edi­tor and ST edi­tor). No sep­a­rate volt­age sup­ply is required when con­fig­ur­ing via the USB inter­face (USB powered).
Fur­ther­more, the set­up pro­gram has a con­ve­nient soft­ware tool that mon­i­tors and doc­u­ments the start­up, there­by mak­ing it much eas­i­er. This start­up soft­ware allows for the visu­al­iza­tion and stor­age of ana­log and bina­ry sig­nals, even while the plant is being opti­mized. After all, a visu­al dis­play of the key process data in real time is essen­tial for con­trol engi­neers when car­ry­ing out demand­ing processes.
