Introduction of innovative position feedback and valve control systems

GEMÜ, a man­u­fac­tur­er of valves, is expand­ing its prod­uct port­fo­lio of automa­tion com­po­nents for the process indus­try. The new GEMÜ 1240, 1241 and 1242 posi­tion indi­ca­tors and the GEMÜ 4240, 4241 and 4242 valve inter­faces ensure reli­able detec­tion of the end posi­tions of valves and form the basis for suc­cess­ful process automa­tion — even in haz­ardous areas.

In the case of posi­tion feed­back devices and valve inter­faces, the end posi­tion of the process valves is detect­ed by an inte­grat­ed sen­sor and trans­mit­ted to the plant con­trol sys­tem by means of a sig­nal. In the case of valve inter­faces, the process valve can also be con­trolled with the aid of the inte­grat­ed pilot valve. The process valve and automa­tion com­po­nents are opti­mal­ly matched to each oth­er. The entire sys­tem is pre­set and test­ed, sav­ing users time and effort in logis­tics, instal­la­tion and documentation.

The new posi­tion indi­ca­tors and valve inter­faces can be com­bined with sin­gle-act­ing or dou­ble-act­ing lin­ear lin­ear actu­a­tors or rotary actu­a­tors and are thus suit­able for diaphragm, seat and diaphragm-seat valves as well as for ball valves and but­ter­fly valves. Users can choose from ver­sions with sim­ple prox­im­i­ty switch­es or microswitch­es. The Group also offers pro­gram­ma­ble solu­tions with 24V, AS-Inter­face, DeviceNet and IO-Link inter­faces for mod­ern process automation.

Ver­sions with ATEX, IECex or NEC approvals are avail­able for haz­ardous areas. Espe­cial­ly in plants with high safe­ty or qual­i­ty require­ments, users thus achieve reli­able mon­i­tor­ing of the installed valves. The com­pa­ny also sup­ports cus­tomers with plant automa­tion in extreme process environments.
