Intertek takes R. Stahl in the panel shop

R. Stahl, the expert in explo­sion pro­tec­tion, is the first Euro­pean man­u­fac­tur­er that is now includ­ed in the ETL-Haz­ardous-Loca­tions-Pan­el-Shop pro­gram of Intertek. This offi­cial acknowl­edge­ment by the lead­ing inter­na­tion­al test, inspec­tion and cer­ti­fi­ca­tion com­pa­ny enables R. Stahl to pro­vide switchgear and con­trol­gear intend­ed for the North Amer­i­can mar­ket with an ETL cer­tifi­cate. The label, which orig­i­nal­ly refers to the “Elec­tri­cal Test­ing Lab­o­ra­to­ries” found­ed by Thomas Edi­son, is gain­ing impor­tance for the export of machines to the USA and Cana­da. For OEMs, which pur­chase elec­tri­cal equip­ment from R. STAHL, the quick avail­abil­i­ty of cer­ti­fied prod­ucts may be a dis­tinct com­pet­i­tive advan­tage as com­ple­tion­sched­ule of the sys­tem is sig­nif­i­cant­ly accel­er­at­ed. ETL mark­ing as a secu­ri­ty label for equip­ment in haz­ardous areas relates to intrin­si­cal­ly safe such as “IS Cir­cuit Exten­sions”, “Div. 2 Pan­els”, “Purge Pan­els” and gen­er­al “Explo­sion Proof and Dust Igni­tion Proof Pan­els” are pur­suant to the applic­a­ble North Amer­i­can stan­dards. The man­u­fac­tur­ing process­es of R. Stahl have been intense­ly audit­ed before the com­pa­ny was includ­ed into the pro­gram as a recog­nised “Haz­ardous Loca­tions Pan­el Shop”. In addi­tion, the expert knowl­edge of explo­sion pro­tec­tion and the appli­ca­tions knowl­edge the rel­e­vant employ­ees have, was thor­ough­ly test­ed by Intertek.
