The Water Lily floating photovoltaic solution from SINN Powers was symbolically launched at the product launch in Gauting near the company’s headquarters. The company developed its latest product based on years of experience with floating hybrid power plants in maritime environments and brought it from the sea to calmer, still waters. The solution is an economical and sustainable product developed from corrosion-resistant and almost fully recyclable materials.
Building on its experience in developing the Ocean Hybrid Platform, the Group presents a floating PV solution for power generation on calm standing waters. The product launch took place in Gauting, near the company’s headquarters in the Munich area. The photovoltaic solution, in combination with SINN Power’s IP68-certified ModTroniX power electronics, represents an extremely economical turnkey solution.
Advantages of the new floating photovoltaic platform for fresh and brackish water:
- All components have an optimal packing size and can be segmented for transport. This minimized volume of parts results in lower transportation costs, storage space savings, and easier on-site installation.
- The floating platform components are made of special aluminum alloys and are corrosion resistant.
- As SINN Power comes from the development of offshore solutions, the Water Lily is optimized in terms of robustness, stability and durability.
- These systems are a new forward-looking solution for renewable energy generation.
- Application areas for so-called “Floatovoltaic” are stagnant waters such as dams and canals, aquaculture farms, open pit lakes, industrial waste water reservoirs and dams.
- The application possibilities are manifold and will make an important contribution to the desired energy turnaround in the coming years.
