Especially for the measurement of compressed gases such as compressed air and for fuel-air control, the new compact venturis from systec Controls are designed with multivariable transmitter for mass flow calculation. The models V16‑8 with an opening diameter of 14x8x14mm, V16‑6 (14x6x14mm) and V16‑4 (14x4x14mm) extend the measuring range of the previous venturi series downwards. For example, atmospheric natural gas/air measurements for controlling combustion processes can be realized from as little as 0.3 kg/h.
A second example is the measurement of compressed air at 8bar already from 1.5 kg/h. All models are equipped with a display for indication of volume flow, mass flow, absolute temperature and pressure. The largest screw-in venturi V40 covers measuring ranges up to over 900kg/h and has a R1 1/2 inch connection thread. For even larger lines and measuring ranges, the deltaflowC plug-in probe is used. This provides measuring systems at practically unlimited nominal diameters and measuring ranges.
The product not only measures flow, but also process pressure and temperature. Thus, a pressure / temperature compensation is integrated and the deltaflowC Venturi thus continuously calculates the correct mass flow of a wide variety of gases.
