The “High- and Low-temperature Warning Function” extension in all CORIO CP models is Julabo’s answer to customer requirements regarding the protection of sensitive samples in temperature control applications. If the actual value deviates from the specified setpoint and exceeds/falls below a preset temperature range, the user receives a visual and acoustic signal as well as a warning message via the digital interface. The temperature control process is not interrupted. If the actual temperature returns into the target range, the warning message disappears. To avoid false warnings during the heating phase, monitoring is only carried out when the actual temperature has been maintained for more than three consecutive seconds.
With immediate effect, all models of the CORIO CP series are equipped with this function ex works at no additional cost. A software update is available for older CORIO CP devices.
With the new CP models, the CORIO family has added powerful heating immersion circulators, refrigerated circulators, and heating circulators. The extended temperature range of -50 °C to +200 °C and a higher pump capacity of 27 l/min or 0.7 bar make the CORIO CP the ideal partner for the safe temperature control of simple external applications. In addition, the CORIO CP offers 3-point Absolute Temperature Calibration (ATC3) and guarantees the reliable compensation of temperature deviations even when used in larger baths.

Thanks to the proven Julabo premium quality, all models meet the highest standards in terms of precision, reliability, and functionality. Other features such as the integrated timer or the bright, easy-to-read display complete the intelligent product design. All controls and safety functions are operated from the front, thus allowing quick access to all relevant functions. The mains switch on the top of the circulator switches the circulator and refrigeration unit on and off simultaneously. The comprehensive range of accessories from the Julabo product range enables the flexible adaptation of the models to the individual requirements of a wide variety of applications.
Standardized libraries must be more strongly safeguarded. Therefore, the new CaeBackup/CaeRestore options for B&R’s APROL process control system ensure even better security. Users can lock these libraries in the target database. This prevents unwanted changes to libraries when the engineering data is transferred. Both intentional and accidental changes are prevented.
In order to ensure and check the consistency of exchange between individual projects and libraries, all versions of project parts now include a checksum. During database optimization, the checksums of all versions of the project parts are checked and corrected if necessary. CAE warnings are generated in the event of defective or invalid checksums in the database. This allows the user to reliably detect changes and initiate any necessary corrective measures.
Bilfinger supported a well-known pharmaceutical industry client with the modification of plants for the industrial production of a Corona virus vaccine. In record time and under intense time pressure, the team delivered and installed systems, valves and piping for the conversion of the plant. The plant had previously been used to manufacture other products for the biotech industry.

New APROL function guarantees secure import and export of engineering data
B&R is constantly adding new security functions to its APROL process control system. This allows users to protect their projects from cyber threats in the best possible way. A new function enables automatic encryption of engineering data, guaranteeing the highest level of security during import and export. In larger projects, tasks are often split up between team members scattered around the world. To guarantee the securest possible exchange of engineering data, all configuration data must be protected by encryption.
Automatic encryption saves time
The new APROL function “Data security for import and export” allows data to be encrypted with minimal effort. After commissioning, the entire project is handed over to the responsible archivist in a tamper-resistant manner. Subsequent manipulation without a password is impossible. Users benefit from a high level of data security and save a lot of time since manual encryption and decryption is no longer necessary.
