Freeing wastewater treatment plants from harmful sludge

To ensure opti­mum oper­a­tion of waste­water treat­ment plants, pri­ma­ry and sec­ondary clar­i­fiers as well as diges­tion tow­ers must be pro­fes­sion­al­ly cleaned on a reg­u­lar basis and freed from harm­ful sludge. After a cer­tain time, harm­ful sludge and debris set­tle in the pri­ma­ry and sec­ondary clar­i­fiers as well as digesters of waste­water treat­ment plants, which must be dis­posed of at reg­u­lar inter­vals. Indus­triewartung Süd from Dormet­tin­gen in the Zoller­nal­bkreis dis­trict spe­cial­izes in sludge dewa­ter­ing and dis­pos­al: With vehi­cles spe­cial­ly designed for this pur­pose and the sub­mersible waste­water pumps from AURAS, the clean­ing com­pa­ny can not only remove these sludges in a cost-effec­tive and envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly man­ner, but also make them addi­tion­al­ly trans­portable by extract­ing water.
“We work with the P 40 CS sub­mersible waste­water pump from AURAS because it safe­ly and reli­ably pumps waste­water con­tain­ing par­ti­cles up to 44 mil­lime­ters in size,” explains Sab­ri­na Beth­mann, Man­ag­ing Direc­tor of Indus­triewartung Süd. The P 40 CS pumps the water-sludge mix­ture about 5 to 10 meters up from the clar­i­fi­er or diges­tion tow­er and then 20 to 150 meters into a con­tain­er. There, the debris is screened out and the resid­ual water, freed from the sludge, is pumped back into the basin.
Robust and safe in operation
With its spe­cial­ly devel­oped, robust and abra­sion-resis­tant impeller, the pow­er­ful P 40 CS sub­mersible sewage pump is par­tic­u­lar­ly suit­able for demand­ing drainage projects in munic­i­pal­i­ties and sewage treat­ment plants. “The pump weighs 62 kilo­grams and can be trans­port­ed and used by one per­son with the prac­ti­cal­ly shaped car­ry­ing han­dle and appro­pri­ate aids,” empha­sizes Peter Schmidt, mem­ber of the man­age­ment team at AURAS. Its motor is equipped as stan­dard with a motor pro­tec­tion plug with on/off switch. A phase invert­er and a sig­nal lamp for rotat­ing field con­trol pro­vide addi­tion­al safe­ty. Due to the side pump out­let, the P 40 CS is also easy to clean and designed to be rel­a­tive­ly inex­pen­sive and easy to main­tain by skilled per­son­nel. All indi­vid­ual parts are replace­able and avail­able from stock.
Almost exclu­sive­ly pumps from AURAS
