Faster commissioning without surprises

Now machine devel­op­ers can deter­mine where to sched­ule pow­er sup­ply mod­ules for the I/O sys­tem with just a few clicks. A new fea­ture in B&R’s Automa­tion Stu­dio soft­ware allows the devel­op­er to opti­mize the num­ber and posi­tion of sup­ply mod­ules at an ear­ly design stage. This allows the machine to be put into oper­a­tion quick­ly and smooth­ly lat­er on.

The new pow­er sup­ply opti­miza­tion func­tion is inte­grat­ed into the Hard­ware Con­fig­u­ra­tion Ana­lyz­er in Automa­tion Stu­dio. If there are any mod­ules that would be under­sup­plied in the cur­rent­ly planned con­fig­u­ra­tion, these are high­light­ed. The new func­tion can also be used in exist­ing projects. All that is required is to update the firmware ver­sion of the I/O modules.
