Extended and faster service for customers in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region

Cope­ri­on Mid­dle East, Al Jubail, King­dom of Sau­di Ara­bia, opened a new facil­i­ty in the Jubail 2 dis­trict with a two day cus­tomer event in ear­ly Feb­ru­ary 2018. This new facil­i­ty, with a foot­print of over 1,400 sq m includ­ing a over 800 sq m work­shop, Cope­ri­on Mid­dle East will be able to pro­vide even faster ser­vices around its cus­tomers’ extru­sion and com­pound­ing plants. Cope­ri­on Divi­sion Pres­i­dent Ser­vice, Kevin Buch­ler, inau­gu­rat­ed the new Ser­vice Cen­ter on the first day in a for­mal and fes­tive cer­e­mo­ny in the pres­ence of Gov­ern­ment offi­cials of the Roy­al Com­mis­sion, the Deputy Head of Mis­sion of the Ger­man Embassy to the King­dom of Sau­di Ara­bia, the CEO of Coperion’s par­ent com­pa­ny Hil­len­brand, Inc., rep­re­sen­ta­tives of cus­tomers and sup­pli­ers, employ­ees and Cope­ri­on Man­age­ment Team members.
On the sec­ond day, cus­tomers were invit­ed to an Open House with tech­ni­cal pre­sen­ta­tions on extru­sion & com­pound­ing, bulk mate­r­i­al han­dling as well as high-pre­ci­sion feed­ing tech­nol­o­gy. The cus­tomers had the chance to take a clos­er look at the ser­vice offer­ings of Cope­ri­on Mid­dle East and the work­shop set-up with its state-of-the-art equipment.
The facil­i­ty open­ing marked the com­ple­tion of the new con­struc­tion and the relo­ca­tion from the old office to the new one. The new facil­i­ty will pro­vide enough space for a well-equipped work­shop for ser­vices like die plate, extrud­er bar­rel and screw ele­ments over­haul, rotary and divert­er valves main­te­nance and spare parts inven­to­ry. With the sup­port of Roy­al Com­mis­sion and Cope­ri­on Mid­dle East share­hold­er Mr. Adel Kur­di, Cope­ri­on was able to find a new site in the Jubail 2 area. The com­pa­ny moved to the new site already in Sep­tem­ber 2017.
With a foot­print of more than 1,400 sq. m the new ser­vice site will con­tin­ue to focus on pro­vid­ing ser­vice for extru­sion and com­pound­ing lines, bulk mate­r­i­al han­dling equip­ment and feed­ers for the King­dom of Sau­di Ara­bia as well as the entire GCC area. With a work­shop of over 800 sq. m, equipped with high-end machin­ery and a large spare parts inven­to­ry, Cope­ri­on Mid­dle East is meet­ing the increas­ing demand for fast over­haul and main­te­nance of process-crit­i­cal parts for local and region­al customers.

“We have moved to this new loca­tion in Al Jubail in response to cus­tomer demand in Sau­di Ara­bia and the entire Gulf region. I would like to thank every­one respon­si­ble for this strate­gic project and wish our col­leagues in Al Jubail much suc­cess,” explained Kevin Buch­ler dur­ing his open­ing speech. He also men­tioned Coperion’s 30-year his­to­ry in the King­dom and talked about how Cope­ri­on Mid­dle East has grown from just a few employ­ees since the estab­lish­ment of the joint-ven­ture in 2011 to more than 20 employ­ees today.

Cope­ri­on Mid­dle East will con­tin­ue to play an impor­tant role in our net­work. Fur­ther­more, we believe that we are well-posi­tioned with this facil­i­ty to sup­port the Kingdom’s vision 2030.”
