HEINRICH KIPP WERK is now presenting another new development from the locking bolt product group: models are now being launched on the market in which the disengagement of the bolt is realized by means of an eccentric lever. When the user moves the eccentric lever beyond the dead center of the eccentric, the bolt disengages. Advantages are the ergonomic design, the flat construction, a high temperature resistance as well as the fast adjustment.
Locking pins are among the standardized design components that enable fast adjustment of moving machine components. In most cases, a pin is pulled out of its counterpart by pulling the pull knob or ring in order to move machine parts into the appropriate position and then fix them there again. With the new locking pins, this process is performed by the eccentric lever.
A major advantage here is that the locking pin remains disengaged when the handle lever is moved beyond the dead center of the eccentric. This solves problems when several locking bolts are fixed to a housing, which cannot be reached manually by one person at the same time. The operator can conveniently release one bolt at a time without having to hold all handles in the extended state. This function is otherwise only found on locking bolts with a detent groove, but where the handle must be turned in the pulled position — the process therefore takes longer. The products with eccentric levers, on the other hand, are suitable for convenient quick adjustment.
Another plus point is the ergonomic shape of the eccentric handle, which allows easy handling with little effort. The handle levers are available in black as well as in traffic red and are made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic. This plastic is resistant to high temperatures and permits continuous use temperatures of approx. 160 °C and short-term use temperatures of max. 250 °C. With regard to the threaded sleeves and locking pins, the user can choose between steel and stainless steel versions.
All threaded sleeves are available with fine thread and in 4 sizes (M10x1 / M12x1.5 / M16x1.5 / M20x1.5). The eccentric handles can be rotated 360° and are significantly flatter than mushroom or T‑handles when unactuated. This also allows recessed mounting of the products, thus avoiding interfering contours.
