Updates of the innovative hand clamps

Now, Desta­co announced the com­ple­tion of qual­i­ty improve­ments for three mod­els in the 800 Series man­u­al ten­sion­er prod­uct fam­i­ly. These updates came as a result of DESTA­CO’s com­mit­ment to con­tin­u­al­ly review and improve the capa­bil­i­ties of its prod­ucts, with the ulti­mate goal of achiev­ing the high­est lev­el of inno­v­a­tive per­for­mance for each component.

The qual­i­ty improve­ments have been made to the 802‑U man­u­al ten­sion­er mod­el: They include, for exam­ple, an improved air cylin­der that ensures the clamp­ing force at nor­mal pres­sure is less than the max­i­mum hold­ing force, which extends ser­vice life; new com­pos­ite bear­ings on the pin mount­ing and cylin­der bear­ing that pre­vent met­al-to-met­al con­tact and require no lubri­ca­tion; and a redesigned cle­vis pin along with rein­forced bear­ings and stops that increase longevity. 

Two other 800 Series manual clamps have also been updated

- Mod­el 807‑U: Now fea­tures lubri­ca­tion- and main­te­nance-free com­pos­ite bear­ings on the cylin­der bear­ing, a redesigned cle­vis pin, and a redesigned base, elim­i­nat­ing poten­tial delays in open­ing and clos­ing the tensioner. 
— Mod­el 810‑U: Fea­tures new com­pos­ite bear­ings that elim­i­nate met­al-to-met­al con­tact, extend­ing life with­out requir­ing lubri­ca­tion or maintenance.
