HANZA Holding AB (publ) officially opens its new production facility in Tartu, Estonia. The new plant strengthens the company’s position as a provider of regional and complete manufacturing and creates additional capacity for further growth.
In December 2020, the company announced that it would build a new production facility during 2021, which is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2022. The factory is now completed and represents an important part of the expansion strategy.
The CEO of, Francesco Franzé, presides over the opening ceremony together with the Swedish Ambassador to Estonia, H.E. Mrs. Ingrid Tersman, and the Mayor of Tartu County, Jarno Laur.

“We see more and more companies suffering from supply chain disruptions,” says Erik Stenfors, CEO. “We offer an alternative through full and local manufacturing that not only creates a more reliable supply chain, but also greater flexibility and lower costs.”
“By having both part production and final assembly in the same area, we reduce our environmental footprint,” says Emöke Sogenbits, President Cluster Baltics. “To create an optimal manufacturing flow, we built the new plant right next to our existing sheet metal fabrication facility.”
The investment in the new plant, which covers an area of 12,000 m², amounts to approximately SEK 80 million. The opening will be celebrated today with colleagues, customers, suppliers and local authorities and partners.
