GO! Express & Logistics is expanding its digital service offering with its new customer app. It is available free of charge in the popular app stores for iOS and Android.
In the future, customers of the Bonn-based express and courier service provider will also be able to keep up to date via app. The company has launched its app “GO! Express” on the market, replacing the previous iOS-only app for tracking shipments.
From tracking to a news channel
The app can do more than just tracking. In addition to shipment tracking and overview, customers can contact all German stations via the station finder. A news category provides information about the latest developments at the company and in the CEP industry. On the visually appealing and intuitive user interface, users have easy access to all relevant tools. All functions are available in German and English. The language is determined automatically according to the language settings of the device used.
The launch date is March of this year — additional functions will be added in further releases that are closely geared to the needs of users. Planned features include push notifications, newsletter sign-up, and logging into the customer portal to synchronize shipment data or shipment orders.
The company worked with the Cologne-based digital agency Interlutions to create the app. In addition to the desired functions and content, the main focus during development was on ease of use, speed and future viability.
The app was developed using Flutter, Google’s open-source UI development kit. This makes it possible to create cross-platform apps.
“Thanks to Flutter, the app does not need to be developed separately for multiple platforms and runs on most smartphones and tablets with Android and iOS operating systems. This gives us an advantage in app development speed with native user experience.”
