Extended UDI functionalities
The already extensive UDI functionalities of the industry software have been further rounded off by Kumavision with the new variant management. Article variants and versions can be created as comfortably as time-saving, the industry software automatically refers to the base UDI-DI of the article, creates and completes the XML data records in the background and takes over the upload into the EUDAMED database. This is of particular benefit to companies that market articles on an order- and customer-specific basis in many variants and small quantities.
MDR-compliant document management and document control
With the new version of the MDR module for the medical technology industry software, the company simplifies the standard-compliant handling of documents. A document management system (DMS) integrated into the ERP industry software enables the central management of approval documents, technical documentation, but also, for example, general terms and conditions, manuals in different languages and other information. This means that documents only have to be certified and managed once “in one place”. They can be used automatically throughout the entire value chain and output digitally or as a printout, for example when orders are placed, orders are picked, deliveries are made or service work is performed.
More than just ERP
The industry software is based on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 technology platform, which includes a variety of business applications, including CRM applications, business intelligence software, workflow solutions, Office 365 and Teams, as well as cloud services for IoT or image, text and voice recognition. All applications work with the same database, eliminating problems with isolated applications and interfaces. A quick and easy introduction to business intelligence is provided by the Smart Start packages for Microsoft Power BI. The packages include a wide range of industry-specific key figures, dashboards and analyses.
This means that companies do not have to start from scratch, but receive a tried-and-tested solution for medical technology. The CRM solutions, which are seamlessly integrated into the ERP software, optimally integrate sales, marketing and service into the company’s processes. A software solution based on Microsoft Field Service and specially tailored to the requirements of the regulated environment is to be presented in the course of the year. The offline-capable solution relieves service technicians of time-consuming routine tasks, provides direct access to customer and device history, and monitors compliance with relevant standards through functions such as skill matrix management or electronic device files.
