The 18th WHU Campus for Supply Chain Management, a two-day event focusing on the future of logistics, will soon be starting. Under this year’s motto “Supply Chain 4.0”, the student organizers want to focus on the benefits, complications and risks of the digitalization of supply chains. The conference, which is also open to interested external visitors, will begin on March 17 at the Stadthalle in Vallendar. It will offer all participants the opportunity to receive groundbreaking information from some of the most respected experts in the field of supply chain management — including Dr. Knut Alicke from McKinsey, Otto Schacht, Executive Vice President Sea Logistics at Kühne + Nagel, as well as representatives from DHL Consulting, Camelot and Accenture.
With special discussion panels, workshops and speed dating rounds, the organizers’ focus is on networking so that participants have the opportunity to talk face-to-face with those who know the world of logistics inside and out. For the first time, the event will feature the “CSCM Innovation Pitch Battle.” This competition will feature four promising startups who will get the chance to present their business models to a panel of experts.
The conference is not only a great place to learn about best practices. It also provides the perfect opportunity to engage in conversations on a personal level. This year, the organizing team has made it an additional priority to establish long-term connections between participants and guests at the event.
Networking in the otherwise exclusive circle of key figures in supply chain management can also lead to opportunities for internships and build lasting relationships. Founded in 2003, the WHU Campus for Supply Chain Management is the largest European student congress in the field of supply chain management and logistics.
