PTC has been named the over­all mar­ket leader in enter­prise aug­ment­ed real­i­ty plat­forms for its Vufo­ria Enter­prise AR solu­tion suite in ABI Research’s lat­est report, “Enter­prise Aug­ment­ed Real­i­ty Plat­forms — Com­pet­i­tive Rank­ing.” This marks the sec­ond con­sec­u­tive year ABI Research has rec­og­nized PTC as an over­all mar­ket leader in its aug­ment­ed real­i­ty report.

ABI Research’s report eval­u­ates AR ven­dors on two cri­te­ria: Inno­va­tion and Imple­men­ta­tion. The com­pa­ny received the high­est scores in both cat­e­gories. In the area of inno­va­tion, ABI Research high­lights strengths in com­put­er vision, use case applic­a­bil­i­ty, AI and machine learn­ing, and enabling tech­nolo­gies, among oth­ers. In imple­men­ta­tion, PTC was rec­og­nized for its strong cus­tomer base and part­ner net­work, device sup­port for lead­ing AR hard­ware ven­dors, avail­abil­i­ty of Vufo­ria as a SaaS solu­tion, and more.

Accord­ing to the report’s lead ana­lyst, Eric Abbruzzese, “PTC’s total com­mit­ment to Vufo­ria as a brand and core to its over­all port­fo­lio has allowed it to improve Vufo­ria across all cri­te­ria, while main­tain­ing the poten­tial for inno­va­tion.… Vufo­ria prod­ucts are becom­ing more pow­er­ful and com­pre­hen­sive, and the ear­ly and sig­nif­i­cant ongo­ing invest­ment in Vufo­ria makes it a key ele­ment of the com­pa­ny’s go-to-mar­ket strategy.”

The com­pre­hen­sive, scal­able Vufo­ria Enter­prise AR solu­tion suite enables indus­tri­al com­pa­nies to train their work­force, cap­ture and share expert knowl­edge, ensure prod­uct qual­i­ty dur­ing man­u­fac­tur­ing and improve first-time fix rates. The solu­tion port­fo­lio is deliv­ered on the PTC Atlas SaaS plat­form and includes Vufo­ria Instruct™, Vufo­ria Expert Cap­ture, Vufo­ria Stu­dio, Vufo­ria Engine, Vufo­ria Chalk and Vufo­ria Spa­tial Toolbox.
