GEMÜ, a manufacturer of valves, is expanding its product portfolio of automation components for the process industry. The new GEMÜ 1240, 1241 and 1242 position indicators and the GEMÜ 4240, 4241 and 4242 valve interfaces ensure reliable detection of the end positions of valves and form the basis for successful process automation — even in hazardous areas.
In the case of position feedback devices and valve interfaces, the end position of the process valves is detected by an integrated sensor and transmitted to the plant control system by means of a signal. In the case of valve interfaces, the process valve can also be controlled with the aid of the integrated pilot valve. The process valve and automation components are optimally matched to each other. The entire system is preset and tested, saving users time and effort in logistics, installation and documentation.
The new position indicators and valve interfaces can be combined with single-acting or double-acting linear linear actuators or rotary actuators and are thus suitable for diaphragm, seat and diaphragm-seat valves as well as for ball valves and butterfly valves. Users can choose from versions with simple proximity switches or microswitches. The Group also offers programmable solutions with 24V, AS-Interface, DeviceNet and IO-Link interfaces for modern process automation.
Versions with ATEX, IECex or NEC approvals are available for hazardous areas. Especially in plants with high safety or quality requirements, users thus achieve reliable monitoring of the installed valves. The company also supports customers with plant automation in extreme process environments.
