Many companies are invited as partners in the ctrlX World ecosystem to supplement the open automation platform of the industrial company from Lohr am Main with their own product, solution and service portfolios. Wago is now in on the action and, as a new partner, is introducing the WAGO I/O System 750 and the WAGO I/O System Field as system components via the platform in the first step.
The goal is to establish ctrlX Automation as an open automation system on the market through innovation-promoting partnerships and co-creation. The aim is to provide users with all the building blocks for complete automation solutions so that they can take full advantage of digitization and networking. The company is completely on track with its #openandeasy strategy.
“We set out years ago on the path to the greatest possible, real-time openness. From this pioneering role, we want to enrich the open ecosystem with future-proof technologies.”
- Marco Henkel, Vice President Technology Management
Initially, Wago will participate in Bosch Rexroth’s automation platform through the open and simple connection of its systems to the ctrlX CORE control platform via EtherCAT®. The flexible systems with versatile interfaces support a wide range of industry-specific communication protocols. “The combination with our products therefore gives customers the freedom for individual and customizable solutions,” says Henkel.
