Award-winning products and services for the energy transition
MVV Energie has been presented with the Energiewende Award. The Mannheim-based energy company impressed in a comparison of over 1,800 companies from the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and is one of four companies in Germany to be named “Top Energy Supplier” in the “Heating” category. The seal associated with the award is primarily intended to help consumers decide which energy companies offer exemplary products, services and information with a view to the energy transition.
Recognition and incentive for further expansion of renewables
“We are delighted that our extensive efforts to provide customer-oriented renewable energy offerings have also been recognized with the Energiewende Award. Since we connected our thermal waste treatment plant to the district heating network in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region last year, we already supply up to one-third green district heating. The award is a further incentive for us to expand our range of products and services relating to renewable energies in line with our corporate strategy and to continuously increase the energy efficiency of our products.”
- Dipl. Ing. Stephan Grimm, Overall Project Manager “Green Heat” Project
Anonymous full survey coupled with end-customer survey
To determine the best, all energy companies based in the DACH region were surveyed anonymously on the basis of so-called mystery shopping and evaluated with regard to their portfolio of products, services and information relating to the energy transition. These survey results were then weighted by means of an end customer survey. The “Winner Energiewende Award” is awarded annually for Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the categories “Electricity,” “Heat,” “Mobility,” “Energy Efficiency” and “Energy Transition. The procedure and the award for “Energy Suppliers in the Energy Transition” was developed and implemented by the established market and economic research company EUPD Research together with the initiators DCTI German Clean Tech Institute for Innovative Environmental Technologies and the organizer for energy trade fairs “The smarter E Europe”.
Orientation aid for end customers and benchmark for energy suppliers “Energy suppliers are a central addressee of end customers for all matters relating to the energy transition — from information on current developments to the offer of products and services. Until now, there has been a lack of meaningful, neutral orientation for end customers as to which energy suppliers are already positioned in an exemplary manner in the individual aspects of the energy transition and are acting in the interests of their customers. With our seal, we also want to offer energy suppliers an opportunity for benchmarking and thus for improving their offerings,” adds Dr. Martin Ammon, Managing Director and Head of Energy Management at EUPD Research.
