EBE Engineering has further expanded its proven ECOFLOW venturi steam trap range with the addition of a full-cast body model in DN40 and DN50. As a result, this groundbreaking technology can also provide significant energy consumption efficiencies in high-flow steam applications.
Venturi steam traps are already providing reliable, low-maintenance, energy-saving drainage of steam systems in many industries and at numerous companies. The latest model in the series can now handle particularly high steam flow rates.
The modular concept, which is already used in the smaller flange sizes from DN15 to DN25, ensures maximum flexibility in the new DN40 and DN50 flange versions. This allows larger interchangeable nozzle diameters to be used and flow rates of up to several tons of condensate per hour to be achieved. The DN40 and DN50 types are also cast from austenitic stainless steel 1.4408. This anti-magnetic material offers high resistance to aggressive acidic media and is ideally suited for the chemical industry as well as all other standard environments.
It is manufactured by precision investment casting, which results in excellent surface quality and dimensional tolerances. All types of the ECOFLOW series are completely manufactured in Germany. The all-cast housing with no welds results in a product that meets the highest requirements of the stringent Pressure Equipment Directive PED 2014.86EU as well as the regulations of AD2000 Merkblatt W0.
“With this latest addition to our range, we cover every need and are particularly proud to be the only German manufacturer of Venturi nozzle steam traps. We are also the only manufacturer in the world to offer this technology in a fully cast body. It has always been our goal to eliminate welded joints and offer fully cast flanged steam traps that meet ISO dimensional standards. With the ECOFLOW range, we are now able to cover all industrial steam applications across the full range of ISO flange requirements and meet all their process flow requirements.”

The series Venturi steam traps can be used for all steam applications in all industries. They improve the overall energy efficiency of steam systems and have no moving parts — making them virtually maintenance-free. Unlike conventional mechanical steam traps, there is no physical seal in the trap because the trap has no mechanical function. With no wear parts, the series provides a long-term solution for all steam trap needs.
