New face-to-face seminars for medical device consultants IT

The gen­er­al health sit­u­a­tion in Ger­many will soon return to nor­mal, that is fore­see­able. For this rea­son, Baaske Med­ical is plan­ning to hold new two-day face-to-face sem­i­nars in its own sem­i­nar rooms at its head­quar­ters in Lübbecke in the 3rd and 4th quar­ters of 2021 to qual­i­fy as a med­ical device con­sul­tant IT with a final exam­i­na­tion and per­son­al cer­tifi­cate. The lec­tur­ers will be expe­ri­enced and qual­i­fied experts from the fields of infor­ma­tion and med­ical technology.

The sem­i­nars, with a max­i­mum of 20 par­tic­i­pants, are aimed specif­i­cal­ly at IT spe­cial­ists work­ing in the health­care sec­tor or employ­ees in IT depart­ments of med­ical facil­i­ties, such as hos­pi­tals, clin­ics and doc­tors’ prac­tices. The two-day events will explain the sig­nif­i­cance and imple­men­ta­tion of the new Ger­man Med­ical Device Law (MPDG), which will replace the Med­ical Device Law (MPG) as manda­to­ry from May 2021. This will be joined by the teach­ing of the tasks and duties of a med­ical device advi­sor against the back­ground of infor­ma­tion tech­nol­o­gy when used in med­ical operations.

The com­pli­ance and guar­an­tee of elec­tri­cal safe­ty through ini­tial and repeat tests, as well as Euro­pean stan­dards and reg­u­la­tions are also part of the train­ing. Top­ics such as rights, oblig­a­tions and lia­bil­i­ty aris­ing from deliv­ery and instal­la­tion in health­care are also dis­cussed. The sem­i­nars estab­lish the link between IT and med­ical tech­nol­o­gy and pro­vide a basis for fur­ther in-depth study in day-to-day business.

Each par­tic­i­pant is inten­sive­ly pre­pared for a final exam­i­na­tion. After suc­cess­ful­ly pass­ing the exam, a per­son­al cer­tifi­cate is issued for the con­tents of the sem­i­nar that have been con­veyed and test­ed. Togeth­er with the reg­u­lar, prod­uct-relat­ed train­ing, which is con­duct­ed sep­a­rate­ly at the man­u­fac­tur­er of the med­ical device, this sem­i­nar pro­vides the basis for prov­ing exper­tise in the sense of §31 MPG as well as the Med­ical Device Reg­u­la­tion (MDR). The sem­i­nar includes the hand­out of the lec­tur­er and writ­ing uten­sils. Cater­ing is provided.
