New logistics center in Amerang

Things are now get­ting under­way in Amerang: The start­ing sig­nal has been giv­en for the con­struc­tion of the new logis­tics cen­ter on the premis­es of Auer Pack­ag­ing. The con­struc­tion of the ful­ly auto­mat­ed high-bay ware­house will cre­ate numer­ous new jobs at the site. Com­mis­sion­ing is planned for sum­mer 2022. With great fore­sight, high speed and a lot of invest­ment spir­it, the local man­u­fac­tur­er of plas­tic stor­age and trans­port pack­ag­ing is expand­ing its head­quar­ters in Upper Bavaria and con­stant­ly extend­ing its range of services.
In the pan­dem­ic year 2020, the fam­i­ly-owned com­pa­ny was able to gen­er­ate 30 per­cent more orders and draws a pos­i­tive bal­ance overall.

Tackled: new logistics centerNew logistics center in Amerang

Imple­men­ta­tion of the ambi­tious site expan­sion con­tin­ues apace. After the com­mis­sion­ing of pro­duc­tion hall 3 in the fall of 2020, the con­struc­tion of the new logis­tics cen­ter will now fol­low on the Auer site, which now cov­ers around 83,000 square meters. Pro­vi­sion­al­ly, 30 con­tain­er facil­i­ties will be set up to accom­mo­date the assem­blers. The new, ful­ly auto­mat­ed high-bay ware­house with 20,000 pal­let spaces will opti­mize logis­tics process­es at the site on an area of around 6,000 square meters, ener­gy-effi­cient and state of the art. Part of the project is a large pho­to­volta­ic sys­tem with 750,000 watts. The elec­tric­i­ty gen­er­at­ed in this cli­mate-neu­tral way will be fed into the com­pa­ny’s own pow­er sup­ply to oper­ate the machines.

High-qual­i­ty, reli­able and fast deliv­ery: 90 per­cent of its cross-sec­tor range can be marked by Auer Pack­ag­ing for a spe­cial ser­vice. Unpacked: 15 new injection molding machines

With its third pro­duc­tion hall in Amerang, the com­pa­ny now has an addi­tion­al 9,000 square meters of man­u­fac­tur­ing space. Twelve new, high-per­for­mance injec­tion mold­ing machines were already com­mis­sioned at the end of 2020, with three more to fol­low in spring 2021. The two largest machines among the new acqui­si­tions each have a clamp­ing force of 4500 tons. They will pro­duce prod­ucts such as large load car­ri­ers and pallets.
