Postponed and canceled industrial fairs in Germany

The coro­n­avirus and COVID-19 dis­ease have the world in their grip. The rapid spread of the virus in Europe and the world has led to very strict mea­sures by health author­i­ties, affect­ing our dai­ly life as well as most indus­tri­al sec­tors. As a result, many events and trade fairs were can­celed or post­poned. To keep you updat­ed, we have com­piled an overview of the indus­tri­al fairs in Ger­many, rel­e­vant to the process industries.

Postponed within the year

• Ana­lyt­i­ca, the lead­ing trade fair for lab­o­ra­to­ry tech­nol­o­gy, analy­sis, biotech­nol­o­gy and ana­lyt­i­ca con­fer­en­cein Munich, has been post­poned from its orig­i­nal date, March 31^st — April 3^rd, to Octo­ber 19^th — 22^nd, 2020.
• Automa­tisierungstr­e­ff in Böblin­gen should have tak­en place from March 24^th to 26^th. The event was post­poned to Sep­tem­ber 8^th ‑10^th, 2020.
• Auto­mat­i­ca will now take place from Decem­ber 8th to 11th.

Postponed to 2021

• Inter­pack, the inter­na­tion­al trade fair for pack­ag­ing in Düs­sel­dorf, has been post­poned from the orig­i­nal date, May 7th to 13th, 2020, to next year, Feb­ru­ary 25^th to March 3^rd, 2021.
• Solids & Recy­cling-Tech­nik in Dort­mund will be post­poned to March 17th and 18th, 2021.

Cancelled

• Logi­mat will not take place this year, the fair had to be can­celled at short notice. A replace­ment date could not be found, so the next Logi­mat will take place in 2021, from March 9^th to 11^th.
• MSR-Spezialmesse Rhein-Main had to be can­celed by the orga­niz­er Meor­ga at short notice. A replace­ment date has not been communicated.
• Han­nover Messe and all of its lead­ing trade fairs were sup­posed to take place in Hanover from April 20 to 24, 2020; the indus­tri­al fair was then post­poned to July 13–17, 2020. In the mean­time, the fair for 2020 has been com­plete­ly canceled.
• MSR-Spezialmesse Rhein­land, the region­al fair, which takes place in Lev­erkusen, was only post­poned to the sum­mer, but has since been canceled.
• All about automa­tion will only take place again on March 9 and 10, 2021.
• Ifat, the lead­ing trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw mate­ri­als man­age­ment in the Munich Trade Fair Cen­ter, was post­poned from May 4th to 8th, 2020 to Sep­tem­ber 7th to 11^th, 2020. Mean­while can­celed entire­ly for 2020. Next Ifat will be form 30.05 till 03.06.2022.
• Sen­sor + Test will be next year from 4. till 6. May.
