Ozonation with Micro Gas

The appli­ca­tion fields of our microbub­ble gen­er­a­tor keep grow­ing beyond flota­tion. In the area of “gas trans­fer” we have recent­ly been award­ed a project in aqua­cul­ture, where five Micro Gas 480 units will be installed to dif­fuse ozone for ter­tiary disinfection.

With­in aqua­cul­ture, ozone is used in con­junc­tion with RAS (Recir­cu­lat­ing Aqua­cul­ture Sys­tems). The use of ozone with re-cir­cu­lat­ing water in aqua­cul­ture sys­tems allows the user to ben­e­fit from a greater pro­duc­tiv­i­ty, greater flex­i­bil­i­ty in site selec­tion, reduced water usage, sub­stan­tial­ly improved water qual­i­ty and reduced lev­el of water­borne diseases.

Ozone is respon­si­ble for:

• Removal of organ­ics (DOC/COD/BOD), pes­ti­cides, nitrates and phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal residuals.
• Oxi­da­tion of long chain mol­e­cules, which are unaf­fect­ed by biofiltration.
• Enhances the effi­cien­cy of down­stream bio­log­i­cal and par­tic­u­late filtration.
