The “Sim­ple-Flex” series from Jakob Antrieb­stech­nik is a nov­el, inno­v­a­tive dis­tance cou­pling that can be man­u­fac­tured up to 6m in length and requires no addi­tion­al inter­me­di­ate sup­port. An inge­nious com­pos­ite tube with a mul­ti-lay­er, angle-spe­cif­ic fiber con­fig­u­ra­tion allows for a par­tic­u­lar­ly sim­ple design that works with­out the oth­er­wise nec­es­sary cou­pling com­pen­sa­tion ele­ments on the two tube ends. With elab­o­rate sim­u­la­tion cal­cu­la­tions and test series, a com­pos­ite pipe has been devel­oped which has both flex­ur­al flex­i­bil­i­ty and high tor­sion­al rigid­i­ty. The very low weight and the asso­ci­at­ed low moments of iner­tia can guar­an­tee the high­est oper­at­ing speeds and torques with excel­lent smooth­ness, with­out neglect­ing the com­pen­sa­tion of shaft misalignments.

“Sim­ple-Flex” is avail­able with either rota­tion­al­ly sym­met­ri­cal cone clamp­ing ring clamp­ing or with assem­bly-friend­ly half-shell hub. The two avail­able com­pos­ite pipe sizes cov­er torques up to 1000 Nm.
