Enclosure Series for Electrical Explosion Protection

Pepperl+Fuchs has invest­ed deeply in devel­op­ing a new future-proof enclo­sure series that is opti­mized to meet the require­ments of elec­tri­cal instal­la­tions in process plants. This design is the result of many years of expe­ri­ence and brings togeth­er a high degree of flex­i­bil­i­ty, a wide range of appli­ca­tions, and low plan­ning effort.
Engi­neer­ing is one of many areas con­sid­er­ably sim­pli­fied: In par­tic­u­lar, the new mount­ing grid ensures that ter­mi­nals and switch­ing ele­ments can be planned accord­ing to cus­tomer require­ments. Spe­cial spac­ers allow the use of com­po­nents of vary­ing heights in a sin­gle enclo­sure. This not only increas­es flex­i­bil­i­ty when plan­ning, it also allows more func­tions to be com­bined in a sin­gle enclosure.
The intel­li­gent new design also sim­pli­fies mount­ing by allow­ing large and heavy box­es to be put in place by just one per­son. First, two screws are drilled into the wall and used to hold the enclo­sure in place. The remain­ing screws are then insert­ed, and every­thing is tight­ened at the end. This saves con­sid­er­able costs dur­ing mount­ing and maintenance.
