New in the Grundfos range is the MTD series: A multi-stage immersible pump equipped with semi-open impellers. Thus the pump conveys abrasive solids up to a size of 25 mm.
The series is available for several pressure ranges (2/3/4 impeller stages) and immersion lengths (230/280/330 mm) with flow rates between 50 and 300 l/min. To ensure the stability of the pump, the impellers, the volute casing and the pump housing are made of robust cast iron. All surfaces are galvanically coated for corrosion protection.
Of course a pump with half-open impellers can not shine with its efficiency – the design of the MTD pump ensures stability is their priority. But the development engineers have realized what made sense in this regard: The robust leakage-free shaft seal ensures high hydraulic efficiency. And high-efficiency motors of the IE3 classification ensure low operating costs.
