New sensor measurement amplifiers

Burster, the Ger­man mea­sure­ment tech­nol­o­gy spe­cial­ist rep­re­sent­ed in the UK by Ixthus Instru­men­ta­tion, has released a series of instruc­tion­al videos that show con­fig­u­ra­tion and appli­ca­tion exam­ples for its Digi­force 9311 force and dis­place­ment con­troller and the 9250/51 series trans­duc­er ampli­fi­er and bus controller.
Burster’s Digi­force 9311 force and dis­place­ment con­troller is aimed at con­tin­u­ous sen­sor mon­i­tor­ing and test appli­ca­tions such as fric­tion and torque mon­i­tor­ing for press-fit inser­tion, hap­tic pres­sure test­ing, joint­ing process eval­u­a­tion, riv­et test­ing, spring test­ing and more. The intu­itive con­troller fea­tures a 3.5″ colour touch­screen dis­play and 16 pre-set mea­sure­ment pro­grams plus menu tools to quick­ly con­fig­ure process para­me­ters. With auto­mat­ic sen­sor recog­ni­tion from Burster TEDS con­fig­u­ra­tion soft­ware, the 9311 also fea­tures syn­chro­nous log­ging of mea­sure­ment data using Digi­Con­trol PC soft­ware for mul­ti­chan­nel applications.
Burster´s Digi­force  9311 force and dis­place­ment con­troller Burster´s 9250 sen­sor ampli­fi­er pro­vides sin­gle or com­bined mea­sure­ment of bridge, poten­tiome­ter, volt­age and dig­i­tal trans­duc­ers for force, pres­sure, dis­place­ment, rota­tion­al speed, and torque etc. The ampli­fi­er is sen­sor man­u­fac­tur­er inde­pen­dent and fea­tures auto­mat­ic sen­sor recog­ni­tion for fast and sim­ple set-up. The ampli­fi­er may be com­bined with the 9251 bus con­troller for syn­chro­nous export of up to 8 modules/measurement chan­nels for Eth­er­net based field­bus­es includ­ing Profinet, Ether­CAT, EtherNet/IP or I/O inter­fac­ing — facil­i­tat­ing sen­sor data trans­mis­sion to PLCs and oth­er machine con­trollers where they can be com­bined, mon­i­tored and linked effi­cient­ly to oth­er process­es. These prod­ucts are due for launch through 2018.
