The seamless operation of the system is a fundamental element for the efficient and reliable biological wastewater treatment. But unplanned seasonal fluctuations can always occur, i.e. temporary regional or industrial surplus loads or reductions. In such scenarios, it is necessary to adjust the system parameters, such as the oxygen supply or mixer output. Wilo-TP Control is the interface between measuring technology and machinery that uses digital controlling, regulating and monitoring to ensure the consistent reliability of processes. The control system manages all process-relevant operations, from pre-cleaning to biological cleaning and secondary treatment and supports the visualisation and controlling of processes, such as: aeration cycles, return activated sludge flow rates, removal of excess sludge, dosing of flocculation agents, etc. Depending on the selected technology, Wilo configures the control system for the specific application scenario and customises the technologies and individual components for the individual application requirements. This ensures that the nitrification, denitrification, feeding processes, conveyance of return activated sludge, decanting processes, excess sludge extraction and the addition of precipitants are perfectly fine-tuned. The condition of the sewage is measured with sensors that send values to the control system, which compares the real-time data to the previously parametrised data. The system can be adjusted if the data shows discrepancies in terms of oxygen, redox potential, temperature or pH value.
