The focus of Ziehl-Abegg’s third Energy Efficiency Day will be on retrofitting, the refurbishment of existing systems. In addition, heat pumps and energy-saving legislation will be discussed in Schwäbisch Hall (North Württemberg). Another topic will be state subsidies for renewable energies in air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation technology. The registration deadline is Wednesday, June 8. As a hybrid event, participation can take place on site or online via livestream. Participation is free of charge.
Those who own an old building often don’t want to make any fundamental changes to the air conditioning or ventilation system because this would supposedly involve far-reaching changes to the structure; not to mention the situation in a listed building. Knocking slots, laying pipes and much more — this is usually not even necessary. Existing systems can be largely adopted. Anything else would also be out of proportion to the potential energy savings.
A story and the use of heat pumps in existing buildings provide important insights; the importance of electrical power quality for retrofits is also highlighted. Before any refurbishment of air conditioning systems, their energy inspection should be scheduled — also a topic in Schwäbisch Hall.
In addition, the third Energy Efficiency Day will focus on funding opportunities for renewable energies in air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation technology. FGK Managing Director Günther Mertz will report on the latest developments in energy-saving legislation. Thomas Nowak (European Heat Pump Association) will present the heat pump as a core technology for a European energy turnaround in the heating and cooling sector.
The following day, there will be guided tours of Ziehl-Abegg’s production plant in Kupferzell and its development center in Künzelsau. The accompanying program includes a guided tour of the “Großcomburg” monastery and a cozy barbecue evening in the old barrel factory in the evening.
